HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT SEASONED ACCELERATOR?

SEE BELOW FOR A LIST OF FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

What is the Seasoned Accelerator?

The Seasoned Accelerator is a 6-month program that aims to accelerate the development and growth of established food and beverages businesses through tailored support services. This support is provided through referral services, educational webinars and 1:1 food business and marketing advising from industry professionals. The program is made possible by the City of Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD).

I’m a food entrepreneur, how do I get into the program?

We release applications in late November or early December each year and encourage you to sign up for our newsletter and follow the Seasoned Accelerator @seasonedaccelerator to stay up to date. We select a cohort of 10 entrepreneurs through review of applications and a short interview process each January to February and typically welcome each cohort in early Spring.

What makes the Seasoned Accelerator different from other business support programs?

We feel that the biggest factor that sets us apart from other business programs is our unique expertise and focus on food and beverage entrepreneurs. All our consultants are seasoned food and beverage professionals, and most of our webinar instructors are as well. Additionally, we are intentional about working with underserved entrepreneurs who are low to moderate income and run small businesses.

What is the cost of the program?

Aside from a commitment of time on the part of our cohorts of entrepreneurs, the program is FREE of cost.

Is the program offered in Spanish?

Currently the program is only offered in English. We do hope to change that in the future.

Do I have to be a current vendor at any of the Food Access L. A farmers' markets to apply?

All small food and beverage entrepreneurs are welcome to apply! Please do keep in mind that to qualify for the program you must be a resident of the City of Los Angeles or have a business address in the City of Los Angeles and meet Low to Moderate Income guidelines as set forth by the City of Los Angeles.
