HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT OUR ONLINE ORDERING PLATFORM?

SEE BELOW FOR A LIST OF FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

What is eat!?

eat! Is an online ordering platform operated by Food Access Los Angeles to allow customers who cannot make it out to the market to receive home delivery. You can also use eat! to place a pick-up order if you want to cut down on your shopping time, or simply want to pick-up your order curbside.

How do I order on eat!?

Visit www.orderoneat.org and choose the farmers market you want to order from. Please note that ordering closes two days before the market to allow vendors enough time to prepare. Deliveries are made during market hours and pick-up window options are presented to you at check out. Do you accept EBT?

While we are not able to accept EBT online for home delivery, we are set up to accept EBT payments in person at the farmers market. This option allows you to place a pre-order online, but you will need to come in person to the market to pick it up from the eat! booth. You would then pay with your EBT card at the eat! Booth. This option is only available at the following farmers markets: Compton College, LA River, and Crenshaw.

Who packs my order?

The vendors you order from will choose your items and pack them up. They then hand off your items to the eat! team (who are employees of Food Access Los Angeles) and your items will all be condensed into one box or bag for pick-up or delivery.

Who will deliver my order?

Deliveries are made by a local company, All N One Deliveries. You will receive a text or e-mail notification when your order is on its way to you from the market.

How do the farmers get paid and how much do they make?

The farmers are paid out directly from Food Access Los Angeles. They receive a weekly payout to consider all their orders from all of our markets throughout the week. We pay them out on Mondays for orders from the following week. They incur the same fees they pay at the farmer's market, but they incur credit card fees since all transactions must be paid by card for online ordering. The farmers choose what they want to charge for their items on the website, so you may notice a small mark up on some of their products due to the credit card fees.

What fees will I be charged?

You are charged a credit card fee and a platform fee, which is currently 7%. The platform fee is paid to Sustaina, the local software company who developed and maintains our website. If you decide to get your order delivered, you will pay a delivery fee, which is passed on to the local delivery company that we use.
